By attending this training, you will learn how Projected Beam Smoke Detection saves you money on hardware and installation costs. This technology will also enable you to reduce false alarms and faults in locations where point detectors are difficult/impossible to install and maintain (like high ceilings).
You will be able to understand the pros and cons of different Beam Smoke Detector technologies and the benefits of having a low-level controller.
This training session will walk you through the key benefits of protecting large premises with Beam Smoke Detection. Large areas including, but not limited to, warehouses, factories, schools, sports venues, atrium or any building with high ceilings.
We will cover relevant guidance from NFPA 72 and NFPA 92.

I have worked in the Fire Alarm and Fire & Gas Detection industry since 1982 and have been with FFE since March of 2021.
My qualifications include NICET Level IV in Fire Alarm Systems, Level II in Special Hazards and Level I in Industrial Instrumentation. I have worked for designers, installers, engineering companies and end users and now enjoy working for a manufacturer of life safety devices.
I currently hold a Texas Fire Alarm Planning Superintendent License and have been licensed in Louisiana, New Jersey and Alaska.
